Music has been my medicine through the toughest phases of life. That was when I truly realized its power to heal, uplift, and transform, and ever since, I’ve been passionate about sharing this gift with others.

Anand Sekar

Founder, Pico Pianist School of Music

I was fortunate to be born into a family that deeply valued music. I started learning piano at the age of 6, and one of my biggest inspirations is my father, who began learning piano at 57. Today, he teaches with joy and purpose, cherished by hundreds of students, and living a retirement most people only dream of. Witnessing his journey gave me the courage to leave behind a 10-year career as a video game programmer to follow my calling: teaching music.

For the past 5 years, I’ve had the joy of teaching students aged 5 to 70. I believe music is for everyone, regardless of age or background, and that each student’s journey is unique. There’s no need to rush it. Simply having the opportunity to learn and grow through music is something worth celebrating, and I feel grateful to be a part of that journey for each of my students.

If you’ve ever felt a spark for music, or if you’re hoping to reignite one, I’d love to connect and explore how we can make music a meaningful part of your life.
