As an example, let’s consider the year 2025, with your weekly appointments falling on Sundays.
At the beginning of the year, you will be given the first 44 Sunday slots (pre-confirmed), with the 1st lesson on January 5th and the 44th lesson on November 2nd. If you cancel the 3rd lesson on January 19th (with at least 24 hours notice), you can look for staff availability and book the make-up in the same week or coming weeks. Classes will resume normally on January 26th.
New students are welcome anytime. We’ll prorate your subscription based on how many weeks are left in the teaching calendar.
If you join mid-year, your 44 lessons will be prorated based on your start date. For example, if you start in the first week of October, you’ll be allocated 11 appointments for the remainder of the year to be completed by December.
It’s a monthly subscription model, and you can end lessons at any point during the year. If you plan to stop classes mid year, a written email is required before the 15th of your final month. Any lessons already scheduled in that month can still be taken, but all appointments beyond the end of the subscription period, including any makeup lessons, will be automatically cancelled.
Our subscription model runs from January to December. Any lessons not taken by December 31 will expire and cannot be carried over to the following year. Please plan your schedule in advance to ensure all lessons are used within the year. We recommend avoiding a last-minute rush in December. Please check your calendar regularly and plan ahead.
If you finish your 44 lessons before the year ends, and would like to take more lessons, you can book additional lessons on a per-appointment basis (billed separately).

Yes, lessons are held on all scheduled days, including Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter breaks, as well as on statutory holidays and festivals. If your appointments fall on Mondays or Sundays, please plan your long weekends accordingly and cancel in advance if needed.
For studio lessons, yes, you can switch to online temporarily. Please inform the staff well in advance to make arrangements. For in-home lessons, switching to online on the scheduled day is not possible as the staff will be traveling, so please cancel in advance.
If there are no available slots within the same week, please look for openings in the following weeks. If you still cannot find a time that works, reach out to me to book one of the 4 guaranteed makeup lessons available at the end of the year.
Please note that its the parent’s responsibility to rebook makeups for lessons.
Yes, since the fee for the 44 lessons included in a year is divided into 12 equal payments, the fee remains the same regardless of how many lessons you take in a month.
No. Books are not included as part of the tuition
You can purchase them at music stores like Long & McQuade or Tom Lee Music or through Amazon. Kindly make sure to have the books ready before our first class.
While a full-sized piano is ideal, beginners can absolutely start with a basic 61-key keyboard with touch response, such as the Yamaha PSR-E363 or higher.
Having an instrument at home is essential for consistent practice and for nurturing a genuine interest in music, especially during the early months of learning.
To help you get started smoothly, we also have a spare keyboard available for new students to borrow temporarily until you’re ready to purchase your own.
Fons is the app that we use for scheduling lessons & Billing. Once onboarded, you’ll have access to all the appointments in Fons where you cancel and book Makeup lessons.
